Cancellation and Refund Policy

Thank you,  for your interest in the services at Discover de Andaman. We strive to provide the best possible services for your travel experience. However, we understand that sometimes things don’t go as expected, and we are here to help.

Booking Services (accommodations, tours, ferries activities etc.):

Booked a service (such as accommodation or a tour) through Discover de Andaman, our refund policy follows the terms of the individual service provider. Please refer to the provider’s cancellation and refund policy before making any booking. If you wish to cancel or modify your booking, please contact us within the below cancellation policy period of your scheduled trip. Late cancellations may incur penalties as per the service terms.

Cancellation Policy

For Ferry

  • 200 Rupees Cancellation fee applicable per cancellation before 50 hrs of ferry schedule
  • 200 Rupees cancellation fee is applicable for rescheduling the ticket before 6 Hrs of sailing.
  • Rescheduling is applicable only depends on availability, else cancellation policy will be applicable
  • 50% Cancellation fee applicable for cancellation received before 30 Hours of the ticket schedule
  • No refund for cancellation is received within 30 Hrs of the ferry schedule.
  • No cancellation is applicable for the Rescheduled tickets.

For Trips/Activities

  • The full advance will be refunded upon cancellation received before 10 Days of the Date of Activity.
  • 25% of the advance applicable for cancellation received within 10n to 7 days of the Date of activity
  • 50% of the advance applicable upon Cancellation received within 7 Days to-48 Hrs of the Date of activity.
  • No refund for cancellation received within 48 Hrs of activity.
  • 200 Rupees Cancellation applicable per cancellation of the ticket.
  • Full advance amount will be returned, if the activities are cancelled due to Natural calamities or Govt restrictions

For Hotels

Cancellation as per hotel policy, we do not charge any extra.

  • Usually the hotel cancellation policy at the islands is as under:
  •  If cancelled from 0 days to 7 days before the check-in date 100% of the
    booking amount will be charged.
  • If cancelled from 7 days to 20 days before the check-in date 50% of the
    booking amount will be charged.
  • If cancelled from 20 days to 30 days before the check-in date 25% of the
    booking amount will be charged.
  • If cancelled from 30 days or more before the check-in date 5% of the booking
    amount will be charged.
  • No refund for cancellation received on bookings from 15th Dec to 15th Jan.
  • No refunds for unused nights or early check-out.
  • The Hotel is not responsible for room cancellation for the cancellation of flight/
    ferry.
  • The Hotel is not responsible for cancellation of reservation due to climatic
    changes.

Peak Time

In the Andaman Islands there is a peak season time from 15-December to 15-
January .

  • During this time NO Cancellations are allowed. This is applicable on all hotels,
    activities, ferry and transport.
  • We know that this sounds absurd, however due to high influx of travelers and
    very minimal availability of Hotels, Activities, transport and ferry such
    measures are taken. 

For All Other Travel Packages (Honeymoon, Adventure, Family and
Customized)

  • Cancellation Charge of Rupees 1500 Per Person is Applicable any time after
    the Booking is confirmed.
  • No refund, if Cancellation received less than 10 Days before arrival.
  • 50% of the total package amount is applicable, if Cancellation received
    between 11 – 20 Days before arrival.
  • 25% of the total package amount is applicable, if Cancellation received
    between 21 – 30 Days before arrival.
  • In case of any cancellation or rescheduling in the ferry service

Cancellation charges may vary based on any specific cancellation charges by the third party service provider(Hotel, Crizes, )

We shall refund only the actual amount as refund by the hotels or the ferry service provider.

Exceptions

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

Change of mind after purchase.
Late cancellations that do not comply with the service provider’s terms.
Failure to read the terms of service or product descriptions before purchase.
